[Brunch at Genki Ippai 博多元気一杯!!]
Since we started out late today, brunch is the first thing on our schedule today.
Genki Ippai - The legendary blue bucket ramen restaurant, the OG ramen nazi with comprehensive rules when dining in, and lastly what most of you might know this restaurant for; having the creamiest, richest, and heaviest tonkotsu ramen broth ever.
Although in recent years photography is now allowed, probably to be more tourist-friendly and better PR/marketing.

[Ohori Park 大濠公園]
After breakfast, we made our way to Ohori Park via the train, and we alighted at Ohorikoen Station, which is no surprise haha!
You can see some relaxed/touristy water activities available at the riverside, Swan Boats and Paddle Boats, but it’s late Autumn timing so I guess not many people are interested to do that at that time.
[Starbucks Ohori Park]
Great to see a Starbucks outlet in Ohori Park, went in immediately to grab a cuppa coffee and have a quick rest.
Cool to see a drawing and explanation/description of Ohori Park history on their wall.
[Cosmos Flower]
I think it is Cosmos flower? At least based on my wife who is much more knowledgable on the topic of flowers/plants.
It was the season for Cosmos flower at that time, so went to take some portrait shots of my wife with the flowers (and also the Fukuoka Castle Ruins and Gate area).
[Fukuoka Castle Ruins 福岡城]
Nice to see a baseball field near the Castle Ruins, and a great warn light shining on the field!
We also made our way to the top of the Castle Ruins, and I spent some time to take a panorama shot of the city view at the high vantage point.
[Tea time at Jacques ジャック 大濠店]
After taking the panorama shot, we decided to go for our next destination on our checklist (which is also nearby).
Jacques ジャック 大濠店 is one of the good pâtisseries in Fukuoka for our foodie list; Jacques is also one of the last food places we visited in Fukuoka and our entire 2019 Japan trip.

[Fukuoka Tower 福岡タワー]
Fukuoka Tower - One of the iconic sightseeing places to go in Fukuoka!
By the way, the lighting on the exterior of the Fukuoka Tower changes dynamically (patterns or so), so I just uploaded 2 images to show the differences.
Pretty straightforward to get up to the Observatory Deck, after entering the building, we went to buy the tickets, followed the route “Entrance” sign and went through a cyberpunk-ish corridor to reach the lifts.
[Fukuoka Tower Observatory Deck]
This is our favourite spot at the Observatory Deck, that’s why we also took a couple photo there for memories!
Also some of the night shots of Fukuoka cityscape were taken from the Observatory Deck.
[Dinner at Ichiran Main Store 一蘭 本社総本店]
After I’m satisfied with the photos taken at Fukuoka Tower, we made our way back to Fukuoka Nakasu area via bus, and it was another few minutes walk to reach Ichiran Main Store!
Every ramen lover will definitely want to do a pilgrimage visit to Ichiran main store in Fukuoka (regardless of how mainstream Ichiran is) at least once in their life, so we did! So the million-dollar question is, how does it fare?

[Closing]
This day was at such a slow and relaxed pace, I felt like we never really explore much.
But then probably, it was our body telling us to take it easy since we are so tired at this point from lack of sleep + too much exploring on foot + changing hotels/cities/packing every 2-3 days on our last legs of the trip.
By right, we planned to go Uminonakamichi Seaside Park and Aquarium today, but decided not to as it is quite some distance and a full-day affair, till next time then!
Tomorrow we will be spending our morning exploring Nanzoin Temple and then making our long Shinkansen trip back to Tokyo, with transit at Shin-Osaka Station.
