One of the most famous teahouse in Uji, well known for their matcha desserts, especially matcha parfait. They even have 2 outlets in Uji, one at Uji Station, and the other one is the main store, well of course we went for the main store!

Yamamoto Menzou - One of the top Udon restaurants in Kyoto, but we only get to try it's take out

One of the most famous Udon restaurants in Kyoto, they have a Michelin Bib and a Tabelog score of 3.99 (as of writing), located near Heian Shrine and Kyoto City KYOCERA Museum of Art.

Ogawa - Great soba restaurant in the quiet Kitaoji area in Kyoto

A traditional looking soba restaurant, decked in almost full wooden furniture and doors, resides in the quiet Kitaoji area in Kyoto. Tonkatsu Manger - Best tonkatsu we ever eaten!

The most popular Tonkatsu restaurant in Osaka, from what I read probably one of the top in Japan. With a Tabelog score of 4.19 from 1186 comments (as of Dec 2022), Tabelog Silver Award for 3 consecutive years (2020-2022), and Tabelog Bronze Award for 2017-2019, that has to mean something.

Makan Melaka Cendol - Our favourite Cendol in Singapore!

Probably the best Cendol in Singapore, we have eaten this bowl of delicious Cendol many times over the years. Even brought some of our good friends all the way to Changi Village just for this (and Nasi Lemak).
