After a long day playing at USJ, we decided to have our dinner close to our hotel in Umeda. Checked our shortlist, and Ramen Jinsei JET fits the bill.

Shoyu Ramen with Egg (¥1000 + ¥100)
It has a flavourful shoyu broth, decent charshu (thin sliced type and the taste not really my preference), ajitama, and noodles.
Overall: Decent. Really don’t have much to say about this, just nothing outstanding but nothing bad either.

Chicken Stew Ramen with Egg (¥1050 + ¥100)
It has a thick broth, very different/unique from mainstream ramen. Feels a bit like collagen soup base, very strong and salty stew taste.
We assume they boil the chicken bone or legs and boil/stew/steam until it has completely dissolves to collagen state.
Overall: For those who like collagen broth might be interested in this, but it’s not our preference.

The Karaage is rather interesting to write about.
Firstly the good part, the batter is fried till crispy and golden colour without overdoing it. Nice crisp crunch, not hard to bite at all for the batter.
Here comes the but, but the meat is too tough for the size they are going at, probably also using breast part of the chicken? I mean, it is really good of them to be so generous on the portion, but sometimes this will backfire on the taste/eating experience.
What we feel can improve tremendously is; cut into smaller pieces, so it is more bite sized. Combined with their already great batter, it’s a winning combo.
In our opinion, this has such a big potential, if I have to imagine that it is cut into bite sized pieces + their current batter, we will rate it 3.5/5 based on this possibility.

Overall
We just find it a bit underwhelming for a relatively high score ramen restaurant on Tabelog (as of writing it has a score of 3.78 with 1510 reviews).
It’s by no means a bad bowl of ramen, but in our opinion it’s just a decent to average standard of ramen.
Maybe it is an acquired or a local authentic style/taste? If you guys try/tried it, do let us know in the comments section.
