[Morning at Omicho Market]
As I really need some fruits (and veggies) on a daily basis, I try to eat those on a daily basis during travels too if I can.
What’s better than fresh and awesome fruits from Kanazawa Omicho Market and at an affordable price in Japan for its quality (Shine Muscat & Kyoho Grapes)!
We also saw a big seafood store selling really fresh and nice Maguro Otoro sushi, so we purchased a tray of it. Even though it costs ¥1600 which is slightly costly, but in reality, I will consider it really affordable or even cheap if I were to compare buying it in my country (Singapore).
In short, the Maguro is really fresh and melts in your mouth. Even Poka who is not really a fan of Maguro really loves it, probably we never had a chance to eat such premium Maguro prior. Either not available (such freshness) or too pricey (think only fine dining restaurants will import such premium quality in) in Singapore.
While writing this post, we are missing the taste of the Maguro Otoro already…
[Hokuriku Honsen Kagaonsen Ekiben]
Bought an Ekiben at Kanazawa Station for brunch as the small portion of Maguro Otoro for breakfast is definitely not filling enough for 2 people.
The Ekiben is decent but nowhere near great, but then the main purpose of an Ekiben is convenience (most major train stations will sell) and still at a decent quality!
[Lunch at Ramen Hayato]
After we left our luggage with the hotel (too early to check in), we went over to Ramen Hayato.
Best ever ramen we ate during our entire 19 days Japan trip which spans across numerous cities across Japan, and that says a lot!
To put it in perspective, the 2 hours queue for it is well worth it, and one of the rare few restaurants that got our high rating of 4.25 out of 5.

[Shinsaibashi]
After the delicious lunch, we walked around the Shinsaibashi area for a bit, but as you can see from the photos it is full of people and we are still quite tired for today, so we went to the big Starbucks in Dotonbori to have a cuppa and rest for a bit.
[Snack at Takoyaki Yamachan]
After we went to see the night view at Abeno Harukas, we dropped by Takoyaki Yamachan which is beside the mall for snack time!
Crispy on the outside and melty on the inside.

[Closing]
Always going to be a tiring day transferring to another hotel base; rushing to catch the trains and also dragging around a few luggage to the new hotel. Thus only managed to queue (2 hours) for Ramen Hayato, and did a short exploring on a relaxing pace around Osaka city on this day.
Day 9 will be doing more proper sightseeing of Osaka!
