Japan 2019 Trip Day 6: Hida-Takayama, Hida-Furukawa, and “Your Name” location spots

Today we will be doing a day trip to both Hida-Takayama and Hida-Furukawa, and we quickly realised (and regretted) that 1 day is not enough time to do proper sightseeing for both.

Shoraian - Tofu Kaiseki restaurant with a scenic view of Arashiyama

Tofu is one of Kyoto’s specialities, and when I heard there is a traditional Kaiseki restaurant famous for Tofu cuisine, that definitely piqued our interest.

Maruaki - Our first ever A5 Wagyu Beef experience!

A popular Hida Beef Yakiniku restaurant in Takayama, and quite affordable for wagyu and even so for the A5 grade too!

This is one of the splurge meals of our trip, and we regretted that we didn’t splurge more.
